In 2003/04 the Master's Program of Biomedical Engineering successfully passed the accreditation proceedings with the accreditation agency ASIIN, Düsseldorf. The ASIIN (Akkreditierungsagentur für Studiengänge der Ingenieurwissenschaften, der Informatik, der Naturwissenschaften und der Mathematik e. V.) has been recognized and accredited by the German Accreditation Council (deutscher Akkreditierungsrat). On March 26, 2004 the accreditation certificate was issued. The issued accreditations are recognized internationally.
The Master's Program focuses strongly on research and provides opportunities to pursue PhD programs at universities both in Germany and abroad.
